SND publishes five new SOM surveys today (2018-04-23). These include the SOM Survey in Gothenburg 2016, a study conducted for the first time. 7,000 Gothenburg residents answered questions about, for example, West Link, the congestion charge and how they see their hometown. The survey shows that opinion among Gothenburg residents differs somewhat from the rest of Sweden. Among other things, crime, infrastructure and housing are social problems that are more important for Gothenburg residents than for the population as a whole.
In addition to "Gothenburg SOM", the following are also published today: National SOM 2016, Western SOM 2016, the SOM Institute Cumulative Dataset and the new Western SOM Cumulative Dataset. The Western SOM Cumulative Dataset includes most of the data from the SOM surveys in Västra Götaland County and Kungsbacka between 1992 and 2016. The national equivalent is the SOM Institute Cumulative Dataset, now updated with the 2016 survey. One important aspect of the latest SOM Institute Cumulative Dataset is that the Swedish and English files are now identical and contain the same variables, in contrast to earlier versions where the English file was more limited than the Swedish version.
