Coming Monday-Tuesday SND is hosting a SERSCIDA Workshop. The meeting 11th-12th of November is held as a part of the EU funded project Support for Establishment of National/Regional Social Sciences Data Archives, SERSCIDA. As host SND will also invite to a reception afternoon 11:th.
Attending to the meeting is, besides SND–employees, personell from the newly started data archives at the West part of Balkans, and their supporting organizations. The visitors will be researchers, administrators, Policy makers and but also Representatives of National statistical organisations.
The project is a collaboration between the University of Sarajevo (Bosnien & Herzegovina), University of Zagreb (Croatia) and Institute of Economics in Serbia, and the four CESSDA members FORS (Schweiz), UKDA (Great Britain), ADP (Slovenia) and SND. The aim of the project is to support the establishment of national data archives in Bosnien & Herzegovina, Serbia and Croatia. The archives have developed an implementation program. Next step is now to build up the infra structure.
The meeting in Gothenburg will be the third working visit. Previously the representatives from the West Balkan data archives have visited UKDA and ADP and later there will be a meeting held at FORS. The program of the Gothenburg workshop will focus on sharing the Swedish experiences of building a data service and the related financial, organization and managerial issues, as well as cooperation with the funding agencies, data providers and data users.
