For almost four years, the work with establishing and developing support functions for research data has been coordinated in the SND network. The HEIs have made different progress and the local solutions may look different, depending on factors such as what needs that researchers and other users have.
In this network meeting, we will discuss how to build a well-functioning DAU. Are there any common denominators for successful units? What staff categories are part of them? What mandate and resources do the support functions have? How and in what form do the functions work?
As a starting point for the discussion we will listen to experiences from a few of the HEIs who have come far in their establishment of support functions. We will also hear a presentation of the questionnaire that the DAU project at Stockholm School of Economics made to investigate the organisation and size of the support functions.
Please feel free to send us further questions and requests for the discussion. Send your suggestions by e-mail to anneli.ambring@gu.se.
