2017 was an eventful year for SND. The Swedish Research Council allocated funding for 2018-2022, laying the ground for wide-ranging changes at SND with a view to improving the availability of Swedish research data. The purpose of the extended SND and the network of universities and university colleges is to provide the Swedish research community with a coordinated and quality assured system for describing, depositing, sharing and finding data.
SND organised a number of meetings and conferences to address different aspects of the change process. SND's training initiative BAS continued and was developed during the year, as well as international commitments in organisations such as CESSDA, CLARIN, ICPSR, DDI Alliance and DataCite.
The past year is presented in more detail in the 2017 Annual Report, published here.
