SND’s operations continue to develop and expand. In the 2021 Annual Report, you can read about internal and national development activities, as well as international collaborations and projects that have characterised the past year at SND.
An important milestone in 2021 was the application for funding that was submitted to the Swedish Research Council at the beginning of the year. The application was the result of intensive work, which involved all parts of SND’s activities. In September came the positive decision that SND is granted continued funding for the 2023–2026 period.
The internal work has carried on with development of SND’s services and tools. The system DORIS, which is used to manage and share data through the SND catalogue, has been improved and expanded with new functions. SND’s collaboration with Sunet to develop a storage solution that makes it possible to share data that contain personal information in the SND catalogue has also continued. During the year, the first HEIs started using the service.
During 2021, SND has organised a record number of events for various audiences. Many events have been opportunities to exchange experiences and know-how in the national SND network, whereas other events have been open to the public, such as question and answer sessions and webinars on different themes.
The Annual Report also describes the international work carried out as part of SND’s membership in, for instance, the EOSC Association and CESSDA, and the current projects ARIADNEplus, EOSC Nordic, SSHOC, and SEADDA. In 2021, it was also decided that SND will take part in the coming EOSC related projects Climate Neutral and Smart Cities and Skills4EOSC.
All this and more can be found in SND’s 2021 Annual Report.
