Description

The dataset contains raw data from a survey study aimed at investigating the incidence and risk factors associated with large bloodworm infection. The data also contains a file with the zip code of where the respondent lives and the GPS coordinates of the zip code. The postal code data has been separated from the other data and has been processed separately from the survey's raw data.

Sampling procedure

Non-probability: Availability
The survey was conducted using an internet-based platform called Netigate. The survey was distributed via specific equine-oriented websites and social media channels between May 21 and September 1, 2022. The target population consisted of owners or managers of Swedish equine premises. The questionnaire primarily comprised closed-ended questions with predetermined answer choices, with some questions linked by branching logic. Before distribution, a test version of the questionnaire was evaluated by individuals with professional equine backgrounds.

1392 persons opened the questionnaire link, of which 716 answered the control question to be included in the survey. 706 stated a plausible postal code.
