The fields are selected to cover capability system development as illustrated in Figure 1 of the article, and articles were selected to give a representative description of each field. The focus was to capture the relation between fields and a broad enough description to provide for an understanding of how each field could support capability development. The aim is not to represent a systematic review of the fields discussed.
