Description

In the autumn of 2019, the fourth edition of the Gothenburg SOM survey was conducted. A total of 5000 randomly selected citizens of Gothenburg answered questions about attitudes and habits in relation to society, opinion and media. Many of the questions in the Gothenburg survey are of a regional nature, and concern local politicians and infrastructure initiatives.

Individuals aged 16-85 years and residing in Göteborg municipality.

Sampling procedure

Probability: Simple random
The selection of participants was based on simple random sampling and was conducted negatively with the SOM Institute’s national survey so that no individual would receive two questionnaires from the SOM Institute during the same survey year. The sample was drawn from the Swedish Tax Agency’s population register (RTB).
