Description

A set of Geant4 calculations have been performed in which the gamma radiation flux through the opening of the collimator slit in the nuclear fuel gamma scanning equipment installed at the Swedish interim storage for used nuclear fuel. Two types of boiling water reactor (BWR) and two types of pressurized water reactor (PWR) nuclear fuel assemblies were used in the calculations. For each fuel type and for each individual pin in each fuel assembly type, the contribution to the gamma flux was calculated for a ¹³⁷Cs source with 662 keV gamma radiation. Some calculations were performed without a fuel assembly but instead using a point source with ¹³⁷Cs located at various positions in the collimator slit.

This dataset contains the results of the calculations in the format of structured query language (SQL). The ascii formatted SQL file both describes the format of the data and that can be used to insert it into any SQL standard conformant database.

The dataset was originally published in DiVA and moved to SND in 2024.
