The spatial datasets include data in the following formats: FLS, LAS, Wavefront OBJ (including MTL- and JPEG-files). The datasets also include JPEG files produced by the various cameras used as raw data for the structure-from-motion process. The FLS format is a proprietary file format produced by the Faro scanner equipment. It functions as a container for the raw scan data. Each file contains a "Main" file with all metadata and a folder called "Scans" with all calibration, parameters and scan data information. The LAS (LASer) format is regarded as an industry standard for lidar data. The LAS-files in the datasets have been produced by first exporting the scan data from Faro Scene into the LAS format. The LAS files have then been imported into Cloud Compare for post processing, and have finally been exported from Cloud Compare as both full resolution and decimated (preview) LAS files. Specifications of the LAS format: https://www.asprs.org/divisions-committees/lidar-division/laser-las-file-format-exchange-activities The Wavefront OBJ format is open and widely used. The OBJ files in the dataset have been produced using Agisoft Metashape from structure-from-motion processing of JPEG-files. Accompanying the OBJ-file there are both JPEG texture files, and an MTL-file describing properties of the material and the path to the textures.
